INAGAWA Design

Product Designer

INAGAWA Design ships AI platforms and client products across regulated and retail domains. I publish original research on human-AI interaction alongside the product work.

  • AI Legal Reference Platform:
Designed trust-calibration patterns for six-state legal content where citation errors carry legal consequences. Human-review gating, confidence displays, and source attribution let readers assess reliability before acting on any AI-generated claim.
  • Retail Commerce Platform:
Shipped an AI-powered product catalog with live point-of-sale sync and self-hosted analytics. Reduced customer inquiries by 41% and drove a 24% sales increase.
  • Universal Content Skills:
Built an open-source AI framework that verifies claims, audits content, and flags source changes across sites. Designed for teams adopting AI-generated content who need verification they can trust without reading every word.
  • MUSHIN Design Studio:
Created the full operating platform from brand identity through an encrypted client portal. The pricing calculator replaced a manual quoting process that was losing leads to slow response times.

HighRes Biosolutions

Senior Product Designer

HighRes makes laboratory automation for pharmaceutical and biotech research labs. As the first designer hired, I built the design function from zero across three engineering teams.

  • Design System:
Built shared components, tokens, and documentation across three products. Engineering teams ship UI from the system without needing a designer in the room.
  • Simplified Lab Automation:
Designed an interface that made lab automation accessible without specialized training. New operators use it without onboarding because the interface explains itself.
  • Research Practice:
Introduced user research, usability testing, and prototyping as standard in an organization that had never worked with a designer.
  • Enterprise Prototypes:
Translated undefined product ideas into interactive demos that sales and engineering used to close contracts.
  • Brand:
Developed brand identity, style guide, collateral, trade show presence, and video direction. Aligned visual language across four departments through structured design reviews.

Pison Technology

Senior Product Designer

Pison builds EMG-based wearable technology that translates electrical signals from the human body into gesture input. I owned UX across the consumer smartwatch program and a gesture-controlled drone prototype for the Department of Defense.

  • Consumer Smartwatch:
Shipped the company's first consumer product from concept through launch, defining the interaction model, visual language, and UI across hardware and companion software.
  • Gesture-Controlled Drone:
Created a gesture-controlled drone interface for the Department of Defense where no design precedent existed, validated through lab and field research.
  • Gesture Research:
Invented the gesture vocabulary with hardware engineers and neuroscientists, mapping involuntary movements to prevent false triggers during all-day wear.
  • Brand & Investor Communications:
Built brand identity and investor-facing visual systems for an early-stage hardware product in a novel category.
